Window Mount

Enhance your artwork within the frame and complement the colours in your image with a window mounts. One of our experienced framers will help direct your decisions to perfectly suit or contrast with your artwork. The main purpose of a mount is to draw the viewer’s eyes towards your print. It is also very useful to protect your photographs and artworks as it provides a separation between the artwork and the glass, helping to prevent damage from any condensation – which can result in mould, mildew or the deterioration of the surface of the image.

At Vizability, we only use high quality acid free conservation mountboards from Nielsen Bainbridge “Artcare” range. It is proven to be pro-active in protecting artworks from deterioration. We have a wide range of colours available and all of them are 100% bleed and fade resistant.

We are happy to cut mounts only, should you require it.

We offer single or multiple apertures, double and triple mounts, deep bevelled mounts, spaced and shadow mounts…

Glass

You can choose between standard or premium glass options – the premium being anti-reflective Art glass. Extra protection can be also be added, with UV resistant glass types.

The majority of work is framed with standard, 2mm float glass which has been the industry standard for many years. It is suitable for framing almost all types of artwork. In some cases we would recommend other products:

  • Perfect for delicate works such as watercolours

Anti-reflective Artglass

  • Almost invisible – 1% reflectance
  • UV protection blocking 70% of the harmful rays
  • Ideal for dark artworks that are hard to see due to reflections

Acrylic Glazing (Perspex)

  • Lightweight

We can supply other glazing products should the project require it: however with all upgrades in glass quality, there will be an impact on costs.
